Wedding Photo Booth Hire Brisbane: Everything You Need to Know

A wedding photo booth works best when it fits naturally into the reception. Guests should know where it is, when they can use it and what they can take home. Before choosing a backdrop, decide what you want the booth to add: a printed keepsake, a shared activity or energetic video clips.

Choose your photo or video format

A mirror photo booth can suit couples who like an interactive still-photo experience. An open-air booth is another format to consider for posed photos. Check the selected package for print and digital inclusions rather than assuming every booth supplies the same output.

A 360 booth creates a moving-camera video experience. It is a different choice from a printed photo station. If you love both, ask about the space, staffing and cost of combining them before building the reception plan around two installations.

Build the booth into the reception timeline

Give your supplier the run sheet, including guest arrival, entrances, meals, speeches and dancing. Decide when the booth should open and when it should pause, if needed. Confirm whether setup can finish before guests arrive.

Arrange a short announcement from the MC once the booth is ready. Avoid asking guests to queue during a speech or when meals are being served. For a guest book, leave time for guests to attach their prints and write a message rather than rushing them at the end.

Check the venue before you book

Send the venue a proposed booth location and get approval for the complete setup, including the guest queue. Ask the supplier for the footprint of the exact equipment, plus space for lighting, a backdrop, an attendant and access.

  • Who coordinates loading, parking and supplier arrival?
  • Is there suitable power where the booth will sit?
  • Does the proposed space remain available after the room is set?
  • What is the indoor alternative if the original plan is outdoors?

Keep doors, accessible routes and service paths clear. A floor-plan square labelled “booth” is not enough if there is nowhere for guests to wait.

Make the design personal and readable

Choose names, a date and a small set of colours for the photo layout. Ask to approve a proof, checking spelling and contrast at the actual print size. A long quote can look attractive on a screen but become difficult to read on a small print.

Use a guest book, a favourite colour or a simple prompt to make the experience yours. Our wedding booth ideas include practical ways to connect the booth to the rest of the celebration.

Confirm the final details in writing

Before paying, confirm date availability, operating hours, the booth model, inclusions, delivery arrangements and payment terms. Keep the venue contact and supplier contact together with the run sheet. Our wedding services page is the starting point for discussing a setup for your Brisbane or Gold Coast celebration.
